Last week, I had the opportunity to be the featured keynote speaker at Bellevue College's 2024 Black History Month Celebration.
The words or phrase that come to mind when thinking about the space that was created by everyone who took part in the program are " profoundly sacred. Everyone who took part in the program transformed the space into an unapologetically Black space and made connections to the lives of our ancestors here in America and beyond.

I saw some familiar faces of people that I value and treasure immensely. Thank you to my sister, friend, and colleague, Dr. Yoshiko Harden, President of Renton Technical College, for taking part. It was such a pleasure and honor to have you there.
