🚨 PLEASE SHARE THIS MESSAGE WIDELY 🚨
Last week and earlier this week, I shared posts about my continued advocacy alongside members of the Black Employees Alliance (BEA)—an advocacy group formed in 2018 to fight for the rights of African American employees within the City and County of San Francisco.
For more background information, you can view my previous posts here:
Since making these posts, numerous employees from the City and County of San Francisco, including individuals from Mayor Daniel Lurie's staff (see screenshot below of Political Staff at City and County of San Francisco), as well as other high-ranking officials, have viewed my LinkedIn profile and website.
🔎 Some of these individuals were involved in my lawsuit against the City, which settled in 2023:📌
Among those who have recently visited my profile are:➡️ Ishani Baruah and Chris Reyes, both working under the leadership of Carol Isen, Director of the San Francisco Department of Human Resources (DHR).➡️ Several other key officials (see screenshots) have also shown increased interest in my posts and website.
Key Issue: Lack of Accountability at SF Department of Human Resources
One of the current demands of Black employees in San Francisco, including members of the Black Employees Alliance, is the removal of Carol Isen from her position as Director of DHR. The reason?
💡 Failure to implement the recommendations outlined in the William Gould Report (📄 Read the report here).
The BEA considers Carol Isen’s refusal to take action a clear sign of incompetence, lack of leadership accountability, and a dereliction of duty. As a result, Black employees continue to suffer without an impartial process for addressing racial discrimination and harassment.
🔴 The William Gould Report revealed that San Francisco HR managers and staff admitted to:❌ Covertly directing HR staff NOT to investigate racial discrimination, harassment, and retaliation complaints.❌ Reframing such complaints as "bullying" or "communication differences" to water down the severity of racism within the system.
Recent Investigations and Media Reports
🔎 Multiple news reports have exposed corruption and misconduct within the San Francisco Department of Human Resources, yet no real action has been taken. Here are key articles documenting these issues:

Message to the City and County of San Francisco Leadership
👀 To the City and County of SF employees, including mayoral staff, who are monitoring my LinkedIn page, website, and social media—your attempts to intimidate me will not work.
I recognize these #WhiteSupremacyCulture tactics designed to silence, isolate, and retaliate against Black people who challenge institutional anti-Blackness, White supremacy, and racism.
🚨 Mayor Daniel Lurie, Carol Isen, City Attorney’s Office, and all City & County officials—STOP your investigatory and harassing tactics against me.
🔹 My family and I have suffered enough due to your anti-Black and discriminatory actions.
🔹 Instead of targeting me, focus on fixing the inequities that Black and Brown employees face in the City of San Francisco.
My Personal Journey: Surviving Racialized Trauma in SF
My experiences working for the City and County of San Francisco left me suicidal and homicidal.
In 2021, I found a therapist who helped me understand my racialized trauma. I was later diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder and PTSD, caused directly by my experiences in San Francisco’s racist workplace culture.

Final Thoughts
I will continue to fight for justice, accountability, and transparency for Black employees at the City and County of San Francisco.
