This session focuses on laws, political agendas, governance, and attitudes of White American authority figures during the first half of the 19th century. It focuses on the contentions within the United States government that led to legalized terror of African Americans throughout the 19th century into the 20th century. It focuses on the development of two Americas, one White and one Black. The module specifically highlights and reviews the intersections of social, cultural, political, economic, religious, and race during the presidential administrations of Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, James Monroe, Andrew Jackson, James Polk, Zachary Taylor, through President Abraham Lincoln. It highlights U.S. plans to extricate/emigrate Black people out of the U.S. with intents to end the institution of slavery, as well as U.S. plans to dominate other countries and cultures around the world. The years covered in this module are roughly 1803-1870.
